MORGAN'S RIFLE CORPS

a reference to a group of highly proficient sharpshooters who fought during the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). The corps was organized in 1777 in Virginia by American officer Daniel Morgan (1736-1802), and they played a key role in several battles.
