ScnTUEU
a reference to German philosopher Immanual Kant (1724-1804) who was born and lived in the city of Konigsberg (part of Germany in Kant's time, later a part of Russia). Another German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), referred to Kant as the Great Chinaman of Konigsberg due to the similarities between Kant's views on virtue and duty and those of the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius, who lived around the 5th century B.C.
