FOSSETT'S CIRCUS, SIR ROBERT

FOSSETT'S CIRCUS, SIR ROBERT
ScnTUEU
one of the oldest of English circuses, founded in the 1800s by Robert Fossett (?-1874). The circus grew from a couple of performing birds and a fortunetelling pony into a full circus. It has been carried on as a family operation by succeeding generations of Fossetts ever since. There are two other Fossett Circuses, one in England and one in Ireland, both run by relatives of the original Fossett family.
