misidentify. Disassociation is a condition of not recognizing a thing for itself. For example, the preclear says, "This ashtray is a camel."to differentiate on an inverted level; to differentiate incorrectly; to differentiate the wrong objects from the wrong objects. For instance, a person cannot connect the idea of cooking with mother. He cannot connect the idea of a hand with the body. Such a person doesn't any longer have identification or association; he has misidentification, which is disassociation.
