thine enemy be hungry, give him
bread to
eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink; for
thou shall
heap coa;s of
fire upon his head, and the
Lord shall reward
thee." In other words, by doing good to a person who has offended or harmed one, the person would be made to feel
remorse about what he had done.
