WESTON METER

a photographic exposure meter (an instrument for measuring the intensity of light on a subject so one can adjust a camera's settings for optimum performance) made by Weston Electrical Instruments Corporation of Newark, New Jersey, USA. The Weston exposure meter was patented in the 1930s and many different models were produced and sold throughout the world.
