a United States battleship which was put into commission in 1916. Measuring 583 feet (178 m) in length and carrying 30 mounted guns, including several antiaircraft guns, the ship had a crew of 1,301 men. On December 7th, 1941, during the Second World War (1939-1945), the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor destroying several US ships including the USS Oklahoma. She sank after being torpedoed five to seven times within a fifteen-minute period.
