American automobile manufacturer Harry C. Stutz (1876-1930). Stutz established the Stutz
Motor Car
Company in the early 1900s. One of the earlier models produced by the
company included the
Stutz Bearcat, an
open-topped car which could travel at speeds of more than 80 miles (128.7 km) per hour. Later models of the
bearcat featured
convertible tops and windshields and could attain speeds up to 100 miles (160.9 km) per hour.
