determine one’s own
life, actions, and decisions. It
encompasses the
freedom and
autonomy to
set personal
goals and choose one’s
path.
Self-determination is often a
key concept in political,
ethical, or social discussions and is associated with
freedom and independence.
Example: "The
right to
self-determination is a
fundamental human
right." The
word self-determination can be clarified in a
standard dictionary.
