a
term used with no
special meaning as an
example of a
subject you could teach someone about. It is possibly referring to
ball bearings, freely
rolling metal balls used in a
bearing (a part of a
machine in which another part turns or slides) to
reduce friction; or to bowls, weighted wooden balls used in the
game of lawn bowling, in which the "bowls" are rolled to
stop as near as possible to a
target ball. I
don't know how to
state it, really, any more plainly than I'm stating it. If you're going to teach a fellow about roller balls, give him a
roller ball! Is thisTis this difficult, see?
