PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
ScnTUEU
an American professional football team formed in the 1930s and based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team got its name from the symbol of the government's National Industrial Recovery Act, the eagle. The National Industrial Recovery Act was a law enacted by Congress in June 1933 which sought labor and management cooperation in an effort to assist the nation's economic recovery during the Great Depression-1929 through the 1930s. As an act of patriotism, the then-owner of the team decided to adopt the eagle as the name and logo for his newly formed team.
