a drug rehabilitation program using L. Ron Hubbard's technology. It was originally organized in the Arizona State Prison by an inmate who was himself a drug addict of thirteen years. He put to use the basic principles of the mind contained in books by L. Ron Hubbard, and by doing so completely cured himself and helped twenty other inmates do the same. Narconon means non-narcosis, and there are now Narconon centers in many areas around the world. On the Narconon program, no drugs whatever are used for withdrawal, and the usual withdrawal effects, such as those experienced by quitting drugs "cold turkey," are most often completely bypassed. —OEC - Ron's Journal 38 App Mar 91
