MEATHEAD

n.a dull, stupid or blundering person. The head is thought of as the seat of understanding, thought or intellect. It is used here derogatorily in combination with meat (usually thought of as the flesh of animals) to figuratively show that a person's head has no spark of intelligence or thought.
