LEE ENFIELD

a type of rifle invented by Scottish-born American James Paris Lee (1831 - 1904). The Lee Enfield rifle was adopted in 1904 by Great Britain for both infantry and cavalry and was used extensively in World War II. It was also greatly used in the British Commonwealth.
