HIDDEN STANDARD

An undisclosed opinion, decision or consideration which an individual formed sometime in the past of how things should be which has never been acknowledged or accepted by others, and which the individual uses automatically to judge and measure his own progress as well as the propriety of the actions and behaviour of others.
