I never heard that before!" -Training Duplication (24 Jan. 62) a British exclamation used to express surprise, perplexity, contempt, etc. Originating in the 1800s, the word is a variation of the phrase God blind me! which is used as an oath or curse to invoke calamity, evil, etc., upon oneself or another.
