children's story about a
boy who is made out of gingerbread. In the story, the gingerbread
boy comes across various animals and people, all of whom ask him to
stop because he looks so good to
eat. He taunts them by saying he can
run away from them, and despite their attempts to
catch him, he does. He then comes across a sly
old fox who, after chasing him for a while, tricks the gingerbread
boy into letting him carry the
boy across the river. By the
time they
reach the other side of the river, the
fox has convinced the gingerbread
boy to
ride on his nose and the
fox eats him.
