abbreviation for Executive Council Worldwide. Until just prior to the time of this lecture, the ECWW ran all Scientology orgs (not Sea Org orgs) via its Continental Executive Councils and the org's own Executive Councils. It was disbanded by HCO PL 31 August 1971. Its functions are now done by the Flag Bureaux. See also Flag Bureaux in this glossary.
