the name of a legendary Hindu sage and of a body of scientificphilosophical- religious truth, written about 600 b.c. The Dharma rose up in Asia and its doctrines were spread to hundreds of millions o f people by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. The word means knowingness, or lookingness.
