CREED AND COMPANY

an English telegraph and teletypewriter manufacturing company founded by F. G. Creed (1871-1957) in the early 1900s. The company was known for having developed a machine that recorded incoming telegraph signals (done by code) in the form of perforations in a paper tape, which could then be decoded by machine into English. They went on to produce numerous machines, which came to be used by various organizations for quickly transmitting information over long distances.
