a mountain fortress near Cap-Ha?tien (a seaport in northernHaiti). Built under the direction of Christophe in the early 1800s, it is a huge, massive structure perched on top of the highest and most inaccessible peak in the area. See also Christophe in this glossary. I think a classicexample that always sticks in my mind when I looked at the CitadeldeChristophe of Cap-Ha?tien in Haiti and that thing was built over a period of years by Christophe, the great Emperor of HaitiTand he was a tough boy.
