BRANCH (NOT LRH)

1. any part or extension of an organization or company that handles one aspect of the business such as the financial branch, personnel branch, sales branch, etc. 2. a local office of a company that has headquarters elsewhere; branch office. Example: a brewing company could have branches in several major cities. Each one would be capable of handling all aspects of production, sales and distribution that the company is overall engaged in.
