World War II (1939-1945). Known as the "Locust" by the British, it weighed 8.5
tons and had a top speed of 40 miles (64.3 km) per hour. It was operated by a
crew of three and was armed with a
gun that
fired projectiles 37 millimeters (1.46 in) in diameter, as well as a
machine gun.
